How long do you have to leave in the dilator per session?

My instructions are for 12-15 minutes, repeated (currently) 3 times daily. I go over this time usually, to allow for changing sizes, lubricating the dilators, etc. I'm sure doing it longer is OK too.

Their actually finding out that smaller stents give you more depth then the larger ones. Thats why they push you to do the smaller one right after surgery it'll give you more depth and then you gradually move up to the bigger ones.

Hi Jerica,

I did the small one 25mm for 15 mins then the 35mm for 30 mins three times a day for the first month then just used the 35mm one since then. I had no pain from the second month on and had no bleeding from the start. Apparently my skin is stretchy and this isn't the normal routine. I had asked the hospital if I could just ditch the small one after a month. I'm now once a day for 20mins with the 35mm at nearly 7 months post op. I have also gained depth since surgery. I had 5inch depth made but now dilate to 6 inches because of the nature of my skin.
