I saw in the store wipes by Always called Always To Go and have been using them to wipe when I am not feeling so fresh down there, or even after using a public restroom and there is no paper. I always have about 6 in my purse. The store also carries baby wipes, which I can can get more for about the same price.

Has anyone used baby wipes for this?  Don't want to mess anything up with the flora. I am not scheduled to go to Dr. for my yearly check up till Dec or Jan and don't want to call just for this. If I was going to be there soon, I would ask her advice. Your thoughts girls?

You don't want anything with alcohol in it.  I think baby wipes have alcohol, so that would be a no-no.  Usually it will say in the list of ingredients.  The wipes I found were in the "feminine hygiene" section (with the Monistat and vaginal washes).

Kate is right- feminine wipes are different than baby wipes. I use Always brand the most, but there are other good ones as long as you make sure they are meant for feminine hygiene purposes. I always take a handful of the individually wrapped ones in my purse too.

Having recently moved my last daughter out of diapers, I don't recall baby wipes having alcohol in them. Checked a few sites and most just contain pure water, no alcohol. They are not much different from feminine wipes, and in many cases are actually less expensive. Baby wipes are used for the exact same purpose as feminine wipes, but since they are not sold to help you feel fresher they don't charge the fresh feeling premium on them. I used toddler wipes and baby wipes a lot because they were less expensive and we essentially the same. You can get a whole case of them a costco.

Katgirl74- that was my thoughts on them. I wasn't aware baby wipes had alcohol, infact I was pretty sure the ones I saw said on the package that they were Alcohol Free.

i believe that old school baby wipes used an alcohol base. I am also guessing that non-alcohol based wipes have led to less diaper rash.

That or my nieces and nephews have been less susceptible than the previous generation.
