It is often said that there's no crying in baseball. However, no one ever said anything about excluding high heels, fishnet stockings and ->-bleeped-<-s from America's most beloved pastime.

The Bat N' Rouge Comedy Softball Fundraiser, the kick-off for Humboldt County Pride Weekend and a benefit for the Arcata Ridge Trail Project, is taking place at the Arcata ballpark on Friday at 6:30 p.m. (Tickets are $10 for general admission, $50 for All-Star VIP, which includes dinner by Abruzzi Catering, beverages and special seating).

This charity softball game is a collaborative effort between the Eureka Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Queer Humboldt, Babe's One For The Road senior softball team and many well-respected community members.
