Activists Arrested Protesting Nancy Pelosi On ENDA

"Speaker Pelosi has repeatedly promised to schedule a vote on ENDA, but has yet to fulfill those promises," said Gabriel Haaland, spokesman for Pride at Work, in an GetEQUAL statement on the protest. "The overwhelming majority of Americans support it; the politicians promised it. No more broken promises. We demand that Speaker Pelosi stop blocking ENDA and schedule a vote, now."

http://www.ktvu.com/news/24948750/detail.htmlSAN FRANCSICO -- Police were arresting some of protesters blocking the intersection of Market and Castro streets in San Francisco Thursday evening as activists gathered to protest House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's position on equality for gay people in the workplace.
The group leading the protest, GetEQUAL, said on its website that Pelosi is "blocking legislation that protects lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender workers from workplace discrimination."
