It's the night before my first endo appt. I know the most that will happen is I will have blood work, and then wait for next appt. But still it is one step closer to me feeling normal finally.

I am so excited, I was saying I was a little nervous. But why am I nervous to finally feel complete, be who the person behind the fake facade that had been hiding for yrs.

I had my first appointment and blood draw last week, now one more week for the follow-up and it's going SO SLOWLY!  I was nervous too, and there was nothing to be worried about.  I'm sure yours will be the same. Good luck tomorrow!!

Thank you both. I am hoping my follow up doesn't take that long. They got me in with in a week of getting my referral. Would have been a few days, but I couldn't get time off for time they had open.

...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

My appointment went amazing. My dr is great. very nice, caring and compassionate about her care for me. Only needed 2 labs from me so to give baseline on estrogen and testosterone levels, just had full lab work up a few months back that she accepted. Took my first dose of Spiro and put on my first patch after I got home from work tonight. Took all I had not to take first dose while at work.

I was so happy mine was relatively quick. By the third date with the Therapist she asked if I wanted to go on estradiol I hesitated for a 100th of a second and then said yes. She then submitted her letter to the administrating DR. He prescribed HRT the second appointment. Have been on HRT for 10 days. He also increased my Spiro dosage as I had already been on it for CHF. and it is used as a diuretic. Total elapsed time? About 4 months. May seem like a long time but when I first came to this site I didn't have any hope of HRT.
