I wasn't sure exactely where to place this topic?
I have been on HRT and anti - androgens for about 12 years now but recently I have been getting unwanted erections most mornings recently which is most upsetting and the only way to make it go down is jump in a cold bath! sometimes I need to go for a pee and it won't go down and I'm unable to have a pee.

Now I assumed that after a very long time being on anti - androgens I wasn't expecting this kind of thing to happen to me. I have a very good diet and eat a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables, and I don't drink or smoke.  The last time I had similar problems to this was some years ago when I was put on Zoladex.
This time I am not on Zoladex. I also do not have any kind of sexual or erotic thoughts, quite the opposite and this does not related to any thought processes. It is random.

Is there any short term solution to this horrendous and upsetting problem or has anyone had similar problems to this and managed to find a solution?

I can feel your pain. Have a blood test, and see just how much T is in your system, as well as progesterone. If you look at these 2, and they are high or medium for a female, that generally will contribute to you having erections. And sometimes, your body will induce an erection if you need to go to the toilet when you are asleep.

I've had a blood test and there is almost zero testoterone in my system (0.4) and  almost zero progesterone. I've never had much of testoterone level, not even before HRT. The erections have now disappeared, so I'm not sure of the cause but I have cut down on anti -androgens which seems to have helped and they may be producing a paradox effect due to my naturally low testoterone levels. I experienced the same problems a few years ago when I was put on Zoladex (an anti androgen implant) which also caused continued unwanted erections.

Being on anti-androgins for so long and still getting erections without physical stimulation is indeed very strange!

Have you ever taken Siterone (Cyproterone) also known by brand name Androcur? It works a lot better than Spiro and after a year on it you should never have to use it again. Testicular atrophy to the size of raisins happens within 6-12 months.

You have to register as a "sexual deviant" here in Australia to get a prescription from your Endo but no one sees those records anyway :P //times will change.

Sorry, thats incorrect.
As I am in Australia, and have not had to register anything for my Androcur (Cyproterone Acetate) and it's legally prescribed to me.

Guess its different here in Queensland under the government program then. The Sexual Health Clinic with TG specific Endo's & Psych's have told me that this is a government guideline they have to follow to prescribe Cypro to anyone here(qld). There is a thread in an infamous yahoo group with 'Seahorse Members' from Brisbane talking about their experiences with this to. It is currently being lobbied by support groups in QLD to be stopped.

Sorry if "Australia" seemed like a blanket statement, I hope you can understand that its confusing that the law seems to differ state by state.
