GRS with Dr. Harold Reed?

I have seen very little on here about Dr. Reed in Miami, other than being considered for some revisions.  He has some very nice looking results on his web site, but I would really like to hear if anyone here has personal experience having GRS with him.  His prices are also more reasonable.  I did write to him with a few general questions.  He responded personally and very nicely.  I have read that he does a lot of surgeries for the girls in the Miami area, but it not that well-known elsewhere.

I know that price is not THE determining factor, but it could help move my time line.

he's a good surgeon but there are a few quirks when it comes to GRS.

for one, he insists on patients staying at the baltic hotel. he also wants you to bring alot of stuff yourself (TEDs, stents) and is picky on preop medical test results. there are 2 restrooms in the office, the marble one for photo ops ( ) and another one beyond the lockers for preop patient prep (including shower)

everything else is on the website, most notably the requirement for genital electro (x_x). pain meds are demerol and tramadol, cipro is antibiotic of choice.

I realize he is not one of the big names.  If he requires you to bring some of your own stuff in order to keep prices down, well that is secondary. 

Do you know which preop tests he requires?  Not sure why he requires the genital electro either.

And yes, I have seen his stuff on the web site. 

The Baltic Hotel looks pretty nice, not sure what is up with it though.

EKG, chest xray, and CBC iirc, just the basics (although the clinic i go to questions the reason for the ekg, same as me, I got hiv test on top of that to cover my ass).

I was suppose to get srs but he wasn't happy with my HCT or weight :| (so he did orchi on me). I don't know anyone else personally who went to him (or anyone else for that matter). sorry

Dr. Reed hosts a Yahoo Group called MTF-SRS-FTM@yahoogroups.com.  Although informative at times, it is also kind of creepy as I don't find it too ethical for a medical professional to be interacting with his patients in such a manner.  You'll see what I mean if you choose to subscribe to the group.
