With a growing list of celebrities blurring gender lines, just how comfortable are us normal folk with the idea of androgyny? Matt Young smacks on some lippy to investigate.

Androgyny (having both masculine and feminine characteristics) is certainly no newcomer to the world. Although in current times we have stars like Lady Gaga (does she really have a penis?), Agyness Deyn and Adam Lambert creating a new breed of what we define to be androgyny, the idea has in fact lasted for decades. Centuries even.
