Jesse Bering, Gay Male, Attempts to Erase Trans Folk

Erasure can be blatant, such as when the police or media refuse to acknowledge the gender identities of trans folk, or it can happen more subtly, such as when psychologists such as Jesse Bering force gender identity onto the sexual orientation scale.
In his Scientific American article, Bering asks, "Is your child a 'pre-homosexual?'" His article is predicated on observations that children who exhibit non gender conforming behavior are more likely to grow up to have homosexual orientation.
