I usually wear nail Polish at work w/o makeup or wig and I was told that I am not to wear nail Polish as it is not professional.   Even though I am full time, I do not wear makeup or my wig for fear of it catching fire.  All the other girls get to wear it but because I still look male w/o makeup there was a complaint from a homophobe that said that they did not like it....errrgh
Smile, everyone will wonder what you are up to.

You know, certain states and municipalities have laws against gender discrimination. You may want to check to see if you have recourse. If you think you may, see your companies HR department. If you don't have an HR department, calling an attorney couldn't hurt..

To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

You'rer fulltime but not fulltime so you need to go properly fulltime or change jobs to a car salesman as nail polish is de rigeur for them - or is it jewllers?   :D
I'd seek some legal clarification from some local activists groups.

we have a curious situation at work where the staff of the opthalmology dept were told to wear make up but a few weeks later told not to.  The do wear order annoyed those who usually dont and the don't wear annoyed those who do.   I work in a different departmnet and we all wear makeup and my boss is mystified by the makeup/don't makeup situation of the opthalmologists so she will try ferret it out at next quarterly management meeting.
