New Jersey State Senate passes bill to outlaw discrimination against TG people

By a vote of 31-5, the New Jersey State Senate has just passed a bill to outlaw discrimination against New Jersey's transgender citizens.  Voting "no" were five Republican Senators:  Bark, Ciesla, Kavanaugh, Littell and Palaia.  The New Jersey State Assembly is expected to pass the bill this Thursday.

So, when this law passes, New Jersey will become the ninth state in the US to protect transgender persons against discrimination in housing and employment.  Great!

The states that have current laws to protect transgender people are:  California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, New Mexico, Rhode Island and Washington State, as well as the District of Columbia.  Wonderful!

It says it protects "NJ citizens." So if I live in PA, yet apply for a job in NJ, will I be protected?
