For years my dream name was Victoria,Tori for short. The closer I get to transitioning the more real everything gets. The realization that Victoria would be my name for the rest of my life dawned on me.Recently I heard the names Tamzin and Tasmin and they really sort of made me stop and think about them for a while,it was like something clicked. So now I don't know if I should just go with the one I had already chosen, or If I should choose one of the new ones and if I choose one of the new ones which one do I choose?

Personally I like Victoria.  The other two I haven't heard before.  But which ever you choose, remember it will be yours the rest of your life.

Well ultimately it is yours to choose. I personally like Victoria more than Tasmin or Tamzin. I chose my name because my mother, whom is my strongest advocate, would have used it had I been born a girl.

Thanks, once I come out I'm going to ask my mom what she would have named me and take that into consideration.I think I'll keep Victoria and one of the new names and figure out which one will be a first and middle name.

I've known a few Tamzins anf Tasmins and I think they're lovely names. The only problem is you'll spend the rest of your life having to spell your name to people on the phone :)

"no its T-A-M-Z... no Z for zebra....no Tamzin not Tasmin!....."

I resemble her but I have a more prominent jaw and a slight brow bone.

That actually wouldn't be new to me as I have a Nigerian first name and I go by my Arabic middle name.
