That is terrible. I don't understand how people who consider themselves Christian could react like that. The greatest sin is pride as in thinking you are better than others. I am so sorry you had to experience that and in a public place no less.

Unbelievable, Sada. I feel for you so much. I wish I could give you a hug. I'm actually a little bit mad because of the outrageous intolerance of your family. I wish there was something I could do to help.

I thought it would be nice if I could have a relationship my father. The kind where he knows that I love him, and if he needs help with anything~ now or when he is older that I would be there for him.

So, he wants to be alone in his old age.

Sorry to hear about your father being so cold. However remember what Dr. Wayne Dyer said, "when you judge other people, you do not define them, you define yourself".

Your dad's comments having nothing to do with you as a person, nor your character. They reflect poorly on him, and his ability to understand and have empathy.
