My goal path, and what to ask

So I've spent way too much time telling myself that I will never get SRS because I'll never afford it, so I finally sat down, and started figuring out how I'm going to make this happen. This started me on my goal path. I have three items on my list. #1 is lose weight to my ideal weight. #2 is to save $20,000 for SRS. #3 is to save $8,000 for breast augmentation. The plan is written out, and if I am strong, I will achieve all three of my goals at the same time, in 15 months.

So I have 15 months to figure the rest out, and get my ducks in order. And I have know idea where to begin.

The letters I can do, that's not an issue, it's first, who to go to, and second, what to ask them. I am close to Dr. Nguyen in Oregon, and have used him for my orchi, so I know he's ok, but his site is horrible, and has only one results photo which I'm not too terribly impressed with. But I have a friend who went to him, and she's happy with the results. But I also have a friend who has recommended I go to Dr McGinn in PA. Her site is very well done, but I don't know much about her. Is it worth the trip across the country and the stay, or would it be best to just stay local and be able to recover at home instead of a hotel?

So grand community, I ask you these two questions:

1) Who do you recommend?

2) What list of questions should I be asking the Dr when I go in for a consult?

Thanks!

Lara,

I also had my Orchie done by Dr. Nguyen.  He is on my short list too.  And for the very same reason, as I can recover at home.  But I would like to talk to someone who used him.  Or see more results.

I don't understand why the American doctors have us stay in a Hotel to recover.  You would not do that for other major surgery.

My guess is difficulties with the hospital agreeing to it. Lot of hospitals are religious.

I wouldn't mind staying in a hotel, it would be a nice vacation I guess, I really only care that I'm getting the best surgery for my money.
