how do you deal with the feeling of anxiety? the anxiety that you never find the perfect partner, that you maybe never get excepted, that you maybe never pass, will lose your job, your family or that you will ever have problems with beeing transsexual because people can't except you.

for example... if you look at your live on the one hand: good job, friends, great partner, no "extra" problems in society, acceptance of your family and of the society
and on the other hand: all the problems + you feel good on the inside

so why switch these two lifes?

this is a pretty negative example, but anxiety is never positive  ;)

TWO DAYS WE SHOULD NOT WORRY
There are two days in every week about which we should not worry, two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension. One of these days is Yesterday with all its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains. Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control. All the money in the world cannot bring back Yesterday. We cannot undo a single act we performed; we cannot erase a single word we said. Yesterday is gone forever.

The other day we should not worry about is Tomorrow with all its possible adversities, its burdens, its large promise and its poor performance. Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate control. Tomorrow's sun will rise, either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds, but it will rise. Until it does, we have no stake in Tomorrow, for it is yet to be born. This leaves only one day, Today. Any person can fight the battle of just one day. It is when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternities Yesterday and Tomorrow that we break down. It is not the experience of Today that drives a person mad, it is the remorse or bitterness of something which happened Yesterday and the dread of what Tomorrow may bring. Let us, therefore, Live but one day at a time."

It's not easy but try to stay with both feet planted firmly in the moment... Projecting will kill you.

To deal with anxiety I quit drinking, ate better, exercised and kept a regular sleep schedule. After a few days I found I had more motivation and interests, and less anxiety. You can also talk to someone, a friend, counselor or doctor who can prescribe medication if needed.

I worried about what transition would bring.  I thought about the specific negative consequences and began to realize I could deal with them if I had to – I wouldn't like it, but they would be manageable.  My life as a pretend man was getting more unmanageable, and I thought that the way things were going it could get really ugly.  The bad possibilities of transition began sounding not quite so bad.  I realized I had to try to transition or always regret that I hadn't at least tried.  A life of misery and regret didn't sound good to me.

So I went forward.  I found that my biggest barriers were within myself.  There were some rough times, but nothing close to the dire consequences I imagined.  And my life is so much richer now.  It is wonderful to no longer worry about whether I can.

If back then I had any idea of how good it would be to be free to be myself, I wouldn't have hesitated even as long as I did.
