Writing assignment for school.

As you likely don't know, I attend college. My English teacher is...interesting. Rather than teach, she seems to make it a point to encourage discussion. And so it was this morning, when she posed the question.

"What if you were the opposite sex for one day? What would you do?"

If I woke up one morning and found I was a girl for a day, I would explore the world from my new point of view. I would head out into the city and get some new clothes to match with my temporary body. Then I would go around, enjoying the female life. I would try dancing, and visit a social club. Following this excursion, I would go for the profoundly female experience of getting my nails done. I have little doubt this list is out of order, but I would make a point of going to every cute store I could think of. I would take lots of pictures of the day, and I would spend my last moments as a female sitting on a grassy hill, reflecting. Of course, one of the first things I would do is spend some time getting prettied up. But perhaps the most important part is I'd find someone to share the day with.

That is almost ironic, huh? Posing that question to a classroom, where one (possibly more) of the students are transgendered. Very cool answer ^.^ Thanks for sharing that with us.

What a wonderful answer, I remember a question along those lines when I was still in school.

My answer was a great deal shorter and far less eloquent.

If I remember correctly it was along the lines of Carpe diem, sieze the day and savour it.

I wonder, if I was presented with the same assignment, I would say that I'd take a long look at myself to check if I felt the opposite inside?

Or perhaps think about the day after?

Sounds like a really interesting teacher.
