So, this is how it went....

Since not everyone knows, I am a medicine student and I went to one of my teachers, who's a psychiatrist. I was a bit doubtful if he knew about gender issues at first, but he did. It was mostly me telling him about how I got here and how my dysphoria had developed, my childhood, teenager years, how I was handling things now, etc. Since I study the subject, I avoided using any medical labels and just described what was going on.

He told me it seemed I had gender identity disorder, but he wanted me to develop my feelings further in a next session. We were scheduled for 45 minutes, but we talked for 30 mins more. I have a background (which ins't present at the moment) of contemplating suicide, in my opinion because of GID, and he seemed to worry a lot about that. Add that I have been feeling very anxious and crying, so, next therapy session is tommorow.

Off topic, but I tried to schedule a session of laser therapy, for facial hair, today but I couldn't find the clinic!!! Later, I found it through google maps, but will have to wait until next week due to University.

The therapist probably wont recommend you to an endo unless he sees that you are mentally stable. This means no risk of suicide, and if you are on drugs or have any other mental disorders, they need to show signs of improvement over the 3 month eval period.
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

Nah, no drugs from me, except a load of coffee! But as far as I know him, he is into that drug too :P

Thank you for giving me that heads up on recomendations... still, even if he decides to not recomend me right now, I feel I must be truthful in everything I tell him. Personally, I don't think I risk suicide now, though I did before.

edit: You know, just the feeling that at least I am doing SOMETHING about this, makes me feel somewhat better.
