Do you have a story behind a particular clothing item you have?

Do you have special meaning to it?
Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

My best friend found a t-shirt and bought it for me. She said that as soon as she saw it, she thought of me. I wonder why?  ;D

I've wanted a wrap top for many years. I'm 6'2ish, size 20 (have been bigger) & dropped enough weight to find one in my size. I love this photo of me just before dining out with friends I felt great after being serously ill with a chest infection & lung congestion most of last year.
I tried it out a couple of days before & had an older gentleman try chat me up on the bus!
Not bad for nearly 68 & no makeup or hair dye

Everywhere/Always. Well, until I wore it out. It needs a seam repaired, so it is packed until I get time to fix it.  ;D

I realized that I have not been buying much clothes this year as compared to past years.
I do not think I am a clothes hound, but I have filled a couple of closets and dresser and a chest.  Coats and bad weather clothes are in the entry closet.

I have been giving away a lot to missions and shelters so I guess it was time to shop for some new additions.  So besides a couple of things from TJ Maxx I got altogether ten new pants, tops, and dresses, plus some jeans, a skort, and a skirt.  No new shoes.

However, as only four were found in retail stores, the rest were bought online and some have been returned.  In all, I have kept five items and all the rest went back.  Three I am requesting the same item but in a different size.  So I think I will end up with eight new things to keep, maybe.  So I will end up with about half of what I bought.

I will try to find some more clothes to donate.

I will go to an upscale department store to get a new coordinated professional outfit next month that would work well as a blazer, pants, blouse, and skirt.  This would refresh what I have for the office.  Maybe I will get more than four pieces for more flexibility.  We will see how they are priced too.

I try to take care of my clothes so they last but they do show wear after some time.
