If you have trouble remembering if you have taken your pills I'd advice you to talk to your pharmacy. They have special pill boxes split in seven slots as an example. This way you can prepare pills one week at a time and it is easy to see if you have already taken your medication a certain days.

Injectables may be more trouble for you since it is important that you take them at a specific interval, like every fifth monday or something like that. If you have a habbit of forgetting medication your levels will not be stable and you'll get mood swings.

Tippe

I don't mean I forget. I mean like a few times I've woken up at like 7 and fell back asleep till 10 ish and I was like wait did I take them when I woke up!? Haha

That is where the pill containers help.  You just look and see if the days section is gone.  I have one that breaks down the day in to for sections.

Yes me too! Day and night slots for every day of the week. I just refill it every saturday night.

I HAD to do this considering all of the vitamins and stuff I'm taking with hormones.

Never missed a dose in 10+ months ;) Today was the first day I didn't take my E pill....cuz my injectables arrived! So my adopted mom is coming over to inject me tonight. =)

I can tell you the pain varies depending on certain factors. thus is anywhere between a 3 (sharp nip) or an 8 (big bubba tearing you an new a-hole)

Factors in order of the pain they cause.
1: Coring issues (dull needle low gauge, think pushing a straw through a potato)  :o
2: Inserted wonky pulled out straight (thus scratching open the entry wound.)
3: Tensing the muscle (this also makes it go in wonky don't do it standing up)
4: impaling a blood vessel (thus requiring you to do it all again! lol)
5: inital insersion too slow (most sensation is in the top 4mm of your skin)
6: impaling a minor nerve
7: Injecting too fast or too slow

Damn it seems so hard. Idk if I'd be able to do it but I guess the dr will teach me all about it if I switch. Thanks haha

Well it went off without a hitch. I felt a slight poke and was more surprised than anything, semi-flinched but other than that it was just fine =)

My butt's not even sore today. My lower back hurts though but I'm guessing I did something wrong in yoga.

So Day 2: I started to feel soreness on my butt where the shot went...but it just felt like muscle soreness, like I'd worked out.

Day 1 and 2 I have noticed some more emotions flowing, even started getting choked up during my latest Autotransography video but that was also due to the content.

Day 2 I also felt some soreness in other places, my love handle area for some reason and my left hand feels like tendinitis felt. Not sure if that's related or from yoga or something.

Day 3 today: We'll see , this is supposed to be the peak of the week before it starts coming down.

I'm wondering if I'm going to really see a difference in either an E high or E Low.

today I got my 3rd shot (every three weeks)
The first two I noticed emotional changes by the second day after my shot.
I will try and remember to post here about any emo changes I have.

I have noticed that my face looks more femme than ever over the last 2 months.

I just started injectables as well.  Its nice to not have to remember a pill everyday, and I do feel a little more stable emotionally, somewhat.  Also the ladies have been getting tender again and I swear getting a little bigger, and they havent felt that way since i started HRT.  i just think that the absorption and availability to the body is better, as your liver catches the first pass from orals and breaks alot of it down.

I also get a little sore there after the shot but it goes away within a few days.  Im lucky as my sister is a nurse practitioner and can do my shot for me, shes awesome too, barely feel it.

Do any of you start to get crazy hot flashes before your next shot?  Ive been getting that way for the last few days and im due for my shot in a few more. lol.  oh the joys of womanhood.

1. Hitting a bone?

Tippe

Hitting bone shouldn't hurt surprisingly enough.  In nursing school I gave a someone a shot in the deltoid and was super nervous and nailed the bone.  :o  She didn't hardly even flinch, and didn't know i hit bone at all.  Holy Crap though I sure know I felt it. scared the crap out of me, lol.

For about the first month or so I always felt some kind of soreness back there somewhere after my shot. Lower back pain or butt pain and even thigh pain before. Now I get no pain at all. Not sure what that is all about but glad it stopped. Gave my shot to myself yesterday and feel nothing from it.

Do you have to give the shots in the butt?

any of the large muscles would work. Butt, or thigh is most comon.

Sevan gives me my shots, she is good. I do not even feel it and it was just this morning.
