How long does Estrofem take to dissolve under the tongue ??

It depends more on the pill.  And if it is taken them that long they are ether have it in the wrong place or the pill isn't the type to go under the tongue.

There are two types of these pill. The ones intended for sublingual use are called miconised which just means that they have a finer milling so that they dissolve quicker. The non sublingual version can still be taken sublingual but they will take longer to dissolve - probably about 5 to 10 minutes.

As the UK doesn't have any special sublingual formulation those of us in the UK taking sublingual take the ordinary ones and they do indeed take a few minutes longer - but they still work fine. However If you take sublingual it important that your doctor knows this because the dosage is typically lower when taking sublingual than it is for oral use.

Estrofem took 5, Progynova took 10. I know it's been said, just adding another vote. Estrofem was like a hard dry marshmallow in texture, and progynova tasted like candy. Delestrogen doesn't taste like anything

I take Progynova and it takes about 3 mins under the tongue. Yeah it does taste sweet.

Varies a lot for me, but usually 2-3 minutes, but up to 10 sometimes.  Sometimes its hard for me to tell if its done dissolving or not.

I'd have to agree... The Progys taste much better

It sort of depends on the MG of the tablet, but I put mine beneath the side of my tongue were there are very few saliva glands. The point is absorption into the capillaries beneath the tongue, not dissolving it to swallow. If you taste it, you waste it. I take my meds when I go to bed and there is often residue left when I wake up in the morning.
