If I become aroused during dialation (well....) the erectile tissue expands and makes dialation painful. Even if I stop, it still hurts for quite a time.
Is this normal and reduce with time or.....

I'd say ideally not....

But if yous be early stage 1 post-op....then maybe's?

Depends on which surgeon you went to?

Dr M recently did me a stage 2 labiaplasty revision... all traces of that past are now gone.... and I had a problem with residule tissue that was affecting me peeing....though I wasn't that aware of it.... he was though bless him....

Dilation is only uncomfortable early in post any genital surgery, after that anything that goes in there should start to feel nice and pleasant....lol

Hope things get better for you!

I get the same thing although it is lessening slowly. I am four months and a bit post op. It is just because the dilators are so unyielding and the tissue is still healing.

I had little pain dilating--applying pressure gave me a bit of discomfort to the back wall.  Also, there was a little discomfort about a few inches in when I inserted and when I removed the dilator.  Arousal during dilation gave me no pain

As with Valerie, I hve discomfort around the clitoral area which is subsiding as is the swelling of the erectile tissue.  Now, I have a little discomfort with the clitoris rubbing against the tissue in front of it.  This too will go away as time goes by.  Dr. Brassard was my surgeon.  Who was yours?

Ok. The pain is at the top of the vagina between the vagina and the urethra, where they both emerge.
The engorging has a tendancey to "close" off the vagina.

Sorry to hear that but that is not supposed to be happening.  Did you go to Thailand by chance?  How far post op are you?  I'm pretty sure that the swelling should diminish over time

And Yes. Thailand.

It's been 4 months.  Have you contacted your surgeon?  What did he say?  I know with me, I had asked Dr Brassard to make my clitoris bigger therefore using more erectile tissue.  The entire area was pretty swollen, one side more than the other.  Both sides have since gone down considerably.  I'm guessing that yours would/should too.  I would contact him to see what he has to say.  Or, contact a North American surgeon to hear what their opinion might be.

On return a few weeks after surgery, I developed an infection. I eventually (3 weeks...) got to a plastic surgeon. 3 appts later and $1750 the infection was gone. I still have to pay that down!

OMG. I could have flown back to Thailand and stayed at the hotel for that.....

I'll email the doctor about it....

Doctors reply:
I think it might be subsided by the time.

Wow!   Not a very caring surgeon is he?  Have you thought about seeing a North American surgeon experienced with srs for an opinion?  I'm sure it wouldn't cost more than a regular consult.  How about McGinn or Reed?  I'd suggest Brassard, but then I'd be playing favorites.  Besides, I don't think you would want to leave the country.

My guess is that it will subside over time.  Why not wait another two months and see what transpires.  You can then make your decision from there.

Just a quick note. Dialating to the next size is a PITA.
Or should that be PITV.

I used to have excessive erectile tissue swelling up causing narrowing of the vagina, it was painful and uncomfortable and it did interfere with smooth dilations. Having said that, it can be corrected in a 2nd revision surgery which is minor. (can even be fixed under local anesthesia)

In the meantime, try thinking of non-arousing thoughts when you are dilation because that tissue easily swells up.

If you had your surgery in Thailand, I wouldn't bother going back to the same surgeon.
I suggest you contact Dr. Kunaporn, he is happy to fix complications from other thai surgeons and he is reasonable costwise.
I have met a few surgeons over there and he seems like the most unrushed and ethical surgeon so far.

Hope you heal well.

Love

I contacted McGinn. Hoping for a consult in March, possible surgery 6-8 months later..
