I am 3 weeks on T, is it normal around now to be feeling growing pains?  Right now my upper and lower back, shoulders, and arms all hurt, just like super sore as if I had just had an intense work out.

Am I bulking up?

It's likely. I know my friend went through a long period of muscle growth pain.

I didn't feel it in my upper body but I definitely felt the muscles growing in my legs around 3 weeks. I guess it's because I walk a lot. The muscles in my upper body didn't feel sore until I started working out though.

blah, I still get growing pains.. and I'm 22 and not on T. However if T is causing your muscles to grow - expect growing pains.

I had growing/muscle pains until 8 months on T

I wish I had growing pains.  Of course that'd require body mass to grow from in the first place :'(

Definitely a possibility.. especially if you're working out. For me, activity in most of my routine days (lifting some at work, random chores, mowing the lawn, etc..) caused me to feel "growing pains" in my first month or two of being on T.

Probably so! It happened and is still happening to me. It was my back (upper and lower), first, now it's my shoulders. I'm 9 weeks on T and took my measurements 2 weeks prior to starting T. My biggest gains are around my torso... 3" of muscle girth added. My shoulders are really growing now, and that's where the soreness/stiffness is.

Also, before I started weightlifting as my first step towards transition, I had 11" biceps. Now they're 15". Wow.

Wait until you get joint/bone growing pains because your hands and feet grow bigger and you possibly get taller (especially since you're younger). Ugh. :P

Can you really get bigger hands/feet and grow taller on T?  What age do you have to be for that to work then?

A young T person might get some bone growth if they start transition before the growth plates in the long bones fuse.
As most start their HRT after puberty it is not something that is on anyones radar.
As Eli is still young it is possible that his plates in his long bones have not yet fused.

Anyways alot of FTM grow an inch or so just from added muscle lengthening the spine.

Yeah I suppose that means I won't grow much then cos I'm 24.  Still an inch would be good!

My hands and feet have grown and I'm in my mid-30s. I didn't expect this with my age. I'm really happy about it (especially bigger feet) but it can get quite sore. Joint health vitamins have helped immensely though.

I'm not sure if I've grown any taller or not. I haven't measured myself. I don't know if hands and feet growing when starting T at my age is common or not, but I believe I've heard of it happening to others. Since Elijah's still young he could have great results.

Fascinating. That's good to know.

That's really cool, I hope it works for me.  But you guys are making me feel old, I never imagined mid-20s as over the hill before but now I wish I was 5 years younger for a chance of better results on T.  Feel rather sorry for myself now, what an old git   ;)
