i've been doing some research about the surgery/recovery time. i'm more looking at prices and which doctor has the best scarring. (some doctors leave more square, others are more rounded)
i unfortunately can't get the keyhole procedure, since i'm far past a b cup. even after my size has shrunk.

does anyone have any input, doctors, sites, pricing info. anything you feel would help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks :D

I just went to a consultation with Dr. Garramone in Florida and he is one of the cheapest I have heard of. 5700 I believe for DI and i have seen pictures of his work and I like how his scarring looks the best. Also he is extremely nice, I went with my parents and he was great with explaining everything to them and making them comfortable even though it is a bit of an awkward conversation.

do you need a letter from a shrink or doctor to get a consultation with him?
i stopped seeing my shrink and regular doctor due to insurance and expenses. so would i need to start re-seeing my shrink inorder to get a consultation? do you know?

On the website it says yes, much to my dismay. As I don't feel I have dysphoria. I just want them off!

i was diagnosed with dysphoria when i was seeing my therapist. but i don't really feel that i'm all that dysphoric. i'm just a boy. god got the body wrong! ha.

i've heard that dr. fischer in MD does good work. but she's a little pricier. i think it's around 8k.

Scar shape may have more to do with moob size and/or body shape than surgeon.  I've seen pics of several surgeons' works where some scars are crescent shaped and others are more boxy.  I'm not sure you get to choose.

Jay, who ended up with squarish boxy scars when most of the pics on surgeon's website are crescent shaped...

I've actually emailed Dr. Garramone about a letter and they said just a letter from a therapist stating that you have GID

You don't need a letter for a consult for Garramone. You do need a letter from a therapist saying that surgery is the next step in your transition after you book your surgery. You also need a physical from your doctor saying you are fit to undergo surgery less than 30 days before you surgery date. The consult is free.

I also went to Dr Garramone! He is aweomse! His entire staff including the staff at the surgery center are amazing! I had never had surgery and I felt completely comfortable with everything going on. I had DI 4 months ago and scars have already faded a lot, i couldnt be happier. I also paid $5,700 for my surgery. The consult was free and no letter was needed. They said as long as I had a letter from my therapist to him the day before my pre-op appt. everything would be fine. When you schedule your date you have to pay a $500 deposit then the rest of the money is due 2 week before surgery. If you go yo youtube and type dr garramone in the search his youtube page will pop up and there is a lot of info and videos of results on his page. check it out!

I went with Brownstein. My scars have a more rounded rather than boxy/straight path but that's due to how my breasts were. The contouring he gave me is excellent, though; and despite how large the breasts were (and they were bulky right to my armpits, too) he gave me a really great smooth contour and no dog-ears at all. It was $5,750 for me, but that doesn't include anaesthesia or facility fee. I'm very, very happy with my results.

wow, he has done some awesome work, he is cheaper, AND significantly closer to me then the other top surgery dr's.  I'm gonna start saving up my money, top surgery may be sooner then I imagined.

I chose garramone as well, i'm only 2 weeks post op but i couldn't be happier with the results.  Like the other guys said he is so nice, along with the rest of his staff and all of the people at the surgery center.
