Should I Say "Boy" or "Girl"?

Tonight at school this girl called me over to her during the first bathroom break and she said "Aren't you a girl"? there was a new boy standing with her so she probably told him I was a girl and he didn't believe her (No one ever does believe it when people call me a girl) so I just stood there (Everyone knows I'm Transgender) and looked at her and she said "Well, are you not a girl"? And I just walked off and she said "No, it really is a girl"! So my question is, if someone asks me if I'm a boy or a girl then what do I say? I don't want to say boy and then they see me going into the girls room or the all girls class and be like "I thought you said you were a boy" or someone saying "You're not a boy" and I don't want to say girl because it depresses me when I say I'm a girl and I feel terrible so do I say "Boy" and walk off? I don't want people to think I'm a liar.

Wow, I remember those days of dealing with that in school. Honestly I usually either told them I was a guy or said it wasn't their business. If a girl was out to prove it to their friend then they were being a jerk anyways. If it was an innocently asked question and they weren't trying to prove something I would answer I'm a trans guy or just answer I'm a guy depending on if I was alright with the person knowing.

Everytime that I get ready to say "Boy" I get scared so maybe I should just say "Boy" and ignore anyone who says anything.

this. or simply "depends". i've grown to like the sappy look when done right. people around here are rather, uuuuuhm, simple, so it's easy to make them look dumb.

Raise your eyebrows and say "ooooooooook"  Maybe that would be rude tho...but that girl asking in the first place like that was also rude. And remember that you arent lying if you tell someone you are a boy

Wow, that's rough. I hated highschool. Man, I'm so happy those days are over. TBH, if someone is asking insensitive and immature questions like that they don't deserve an answer.

You couldn't get me to say the g word if you twisted my arm behind my back and cut it off. No.  You're a boy, adn that's that. Don't let people beat you down. Cuz then they win.

I have been stuck in situations like that for years now. Most of the time I just say "well what do you think?" and walk off. If it is at school and you aren't stealth then they will most likely find out that you are biologically a girl so thats why I never say a boy becuase it tends to make things more akward. Also for me, if I can tell that the situation is going to be about my gender I just won't even respond to them.

No one has asked me that question in a LONG time, but if they were to ask I say something like; "I'm whatever you want me to be"...

I used to ask to people if their parents didn't teach them the difference...

I actually got asked that by a whole bunch of kids the other day on a job - which I'd like to think at almost 11months on T was not still an issue but I'll forgive them, they're kids.. I just said boy and kept doing my job - they seemed happy enough with that.

Chances are if you're passing enough to make people actually ask that question you can probably get away with saying boy. And whats the worst that can happen anyways?? I'd like to think that they are not going to strip you down in public to 'prove' their point...

And as you say - you can always walk away.

Though I do like the yes or no answer 😀 lol

I've done this once. I work on ese busses as a substitute aid and I had a little boy ask me if I was a boy or a girl (most of the time the kids will ask the driver "who is he") so I just asked "what do you think?" And he said a boy, so I said ok then and he continued playing with his toy

I just want to say "Boy" and ignore anyone who finds out I'm not biologically male because I'm a bit rebellious and love nothing better than to be myself and challenge authority. I be myself and get a kick out of it being rebellious while doing it.

"Aren't you an ->-bleeped-<-(or insult of choice, best if it's short)?"
and then walk off. Much more impact.
