Do you have to have a Gender therapist to get T or can a regular therapist do it? There is no gender therapists near where I live and my mom doesn't have a car or anything but I talked to my doctor and she told me to go to this Therapist who only works with teenagers so would he be able to help me any?

You can go to somebody that isn't a specialist so long as they have at least SOME idea about what they're doing. I spent a long time trying to track somebody down in my area that even KNEW what GID (gender identity disorder) is. Sad, but true. Call the therapist up and see what they know. Ask if they could help you.

My mom told my doctor that she wanted to get me checked for Autism (I have a lot of the signs) and she told the doctor I was Transgender and needed a therapist and she went to check if their were any in the area and she came back and said that the therapist in the other building would probably be able to help me so I hope he knows what he's doing.
