Thank you Lacy Lynne! This site is really helping me allot. I am enjoying reading everyone's posts.
I feel like I am coming out of a dark closet to see the world. There is so much more to my life now that I didn't even know was possible.
@ Mrs. Erocse:
Ma'am, from what I've read of your posts here on Susan's Place, you are one VERY SPECIAL woman! I'm certain that the others here will second that with a hearty "Hear! Hear!" in your behalf! Kindly accept this most sincere of compliments.
Speaking of COMPLEMENTS (a subtle but profound difference here), Erocse and you seem to be exactly that ... complements ... soul-mates. I may be wrong about that, but this seems to be so, at least from what I can garner from your posts. The doctor who oversees my hormone replacement therapy is herself a transsexual woman. She told me directly and point-blank, "People fall in love with a person and not with a set of genitals." Rock on, doc!
Well, in the real world and in real life, things are not that simple, of course and unfortunately. You, Mrs. Erocse, are among a very elite group of extraordinary people: Those who make a sincere effort to stay with a transitioning transsexual significant other.
Look, I'm not telling you what to do, but honestly, there are 2 books out there that I believe Erocse and you would absolutely enjoy and could totally relate to. Here they are (READ THE REVIEWS!):
http://www.amazon.com/Shes-Not-Man-Married-Transgender/dp/1580051936/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1287246454&sr=1-1#_Author Helen Boyd (a pseudonym) is in exactly the same situation as you are. She's an excellent writer whose style is flat-out entertaining and engaging. A darned good read if ever there was one. You will majorly relate to Helen's book, I believe. You just might end up feeling that Helen is you. And, ...
http://www.amazon.com/Transgender-Explained-Those-Who-Are/dp/1449029574/ref=cm_cr_pr_sims_tHere is a book to both read yourselves and to give to family, friends, coworkers, etc., about Erocse's condition. "True Selves" is usually the book recommended by and to everybody (with good reason); however, this tome is short, simple, succinct. It's a real winner writen by (ta da!) a transsexual woman, Joanne Herman. Methinks you'll both like it a lot.
For the price of 2 trips to Starbucks for both of you, you can cop these most excellent and very imformative books. Of course, you don't have to. It's your choice all the way. I'm just saying that if you are not aware of these particular books that you may find them resonating with you and rocking your world.
It is my sincere wish that Erocse and you can truly navigate her transness and come through its emergence better and happier than ever!

Everybody else here would agree, I'm sure.
I'll shut up now ("Finally!!!" Yeah, I can hear everybody saying that!)!
Rock on, you two!
