So I wake this morning to find my week of online hell continuing relentlessly, as elsewhere on the web I see that I'm now being told to know my place and not criticise problematic cis women:

    "Please don't try and spread cisphobia amongst trans people."

I suppose I should be flattered that it's assumed anything I say will even be heard by other trans people, much less acted on without question. However, the comment doesn't boost my ego, rather it sets off alarm bells as it shows the commenter's obvious lack of empathy for, or understanding of, an oppressed and marginalised group. The comment is a powerful example of cissupremacist silencing tactics in action and if it wasn't such an offensive demand to make of me, it would be quite amusing as an example of the commenter's lack of even a trace of a sense of irony.
