The Christian Post's managing editor Lillian Kwon  has given us another piece referencing trans people where the conflation of gender identity and sexual orientation is made, entitled Christians Urged to Wake Up to Reality of GLBT Agenda. To quote from the piece (link added):

Dr. Michael Brown believes Christians have already lost the battle when it comes to public opinion on homosexuality and gender identity issues.

Pro-gay books are being read in elementary school classrooms, teachers are being mandated to use gender neutral language, gay activists have been welcomed in the White House, and young evangelicals see no problem with same-sex marriage.

These people are doing what ultra conservatives always do, compiling an ever lengthening list of apparent problems and concerns.

It really doesn't matter if these have any validity in themselves. What matter is the quantity.

Eventually, it will becime almost impossible to argue against any individual problem as that will be summarily dismissed and the next summoned. The next stage is legend, where individual problems become so established that exageration becomes the norm and generally accepted.

I daren't cite some examples of such behaviour, to do so will almost certainly lead to an immediate accusation of supporting the entire body.

But a couple of examples I can cite are President Kennedy and Prsident Nixon.

The same tactic is now being used by these ultra conservatives. They have already managed to hijack the Christian label. It's rare that anyone will not call these people Christians. One consequence of this has been that the numbers openly opposing Christianity because they believe it's all about this sort of thing and child molestation. A successive consequence is the politicisation of Christianity.

So, do we get a break from these guys if we say stone more than one child to death for talking back? Or maybe killing a few of those who work on the Sabbath? Don't we get brownie points we can use to appease these christians?

At the risk of repeating myself. I suggest, until we organise, we are is a very weal position.

I watched a video yesterday, linked to from this section, where a bunch of people were coming out in support of a transgendered teen who was being prevented from running for homecoming queen or something like that.

What disturbed me most was some woman, screeming through a loud hailer, nonsense about how transgendered people are born with the wrong brains!

OK, so she meant well. But.....
