Starring Jin Xing, one of China's most well-known dance artists as Nora and presented in both Chinese and Norwegian, with cultural elements from both countries on stage, the production, based on Nordseth's 2006 interpretation of the work, Hunting for Nora, will play at Beijing Capital Theatre from today until Sunday.
The director said that casting Jin, the first transsexual woman approved by the Chinese government as the lead role, echoes Nora's struggle to achieve independence.
