Premier's announcement of measures for the GLBTI community forgets the "T" and the "I"

The Premier's announcement of his Government's intent to implement measures for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex (GLBTI) communities in Victoria if re-elected in 2010 fails to adequately address the needs or concerns of Victoria's gender diverse community (that is, transgender, transsexual and other gender diverse people in Victoria).
TransGender Victoria (TGV) spokesperson Sally Goldner said today:
"Not one measure specific to the gender diverse community is included in the Premier's announcement. We are very disappointed that the Premier has not shown any willingness to specifically address the needs of some of the most disadvantaged members of the Victorian community."
