My sister....

...totally rocks.  She knows I'm FtM and I requested everyone use my chosen name, at least when they're not around my parents and she said that it'd be hard to remember to use "Lukas" but then I said I could give her some leeway since she talks to my parents and I don't want them knowing yet so I don't want her to slip up, but she then said that she would still really try and use my chosen name.

I really need to get her a really nice birthday gift because she is being so supporting.

Awwww that's sweet of her! Gives me hope about mine..I came out to her and she said she couldn't deal with it at the moment, but would 'consider' what I had to say. My cousin told me today that she called her crying and blaming herself since she was such a bully to me all those years of our childhood. I wish you luck with her.

Thats awesome! My sister is one person Im not out to yet because Im really not sure how shes gunna take it. I think its either gunna be really good or really bad. My best friend always tries to get me to come out to her but Im really not ready, I dont know when I will be.

thats awesome, i agree siblings can be really good support. My sister is fully supportive no matter what, we're really close and she'd do just about anything for me, so whenever I want to feel better I talk to her, and she's only 13 but we're like best friends. She even calls me her brother and James

i know how that is, my only support system at the moment is my sister and best friend. my friend has started using male pronouns without my request and my preferred name (which is just a short version of my birthname) and my sister has just said she's gonna try to make a conscious effort to support me and is gonna try reffering to me as male this week and see how she feels about it. its a big change from me always being her sister to becoming her brother. so you gotta check up on them to keep everyone happy and comfortable. if anyone is gonna have my back during all this, it'll be those two. you gotta remember to keep everyone's feelings in mind and not just you're own. its hard to do that sometimes when you're still trying to figure everything out yourself.

@ Mugglerr:  I talk to my sister just about every day of the week. xD  We're a really really close family because of all the moving, but my sister and I are very close and I'm glad she's being supportive.
