I have two questions.

I don't plan on going on T or getting the surgeries, so I don't need a therapist for a letter, but I feel like I need to figure myself and my gender out. I don't know if there are separate gender therapists for this or if they are all the same.

And I have also been looking for a gender therapist, but I haven't had any luck finding a therapist who really knows about gender and in their bio says so. Is there any way to really narrow down my search? I feel like I've tried everything thus far...

Thank you for any and all input. :)

Fortunately, you do not need to go to a gender therapist specifically. Some Clinical social workers are okay with working with trans people/issues. You will notice social workers by the abbreviation:: LCSW.

Unfortunately, there are tons of LCSWs out there. You may call and ask to speak with them in person to see if they deal with transgender issues. This may take several days to find someone who can work with you.
