I've had a look and couldn't find a similar topic yet - I hope this isn't a double-post!

Put simply: what did your Hallowe'en look like?

This was the first year I really did anything for the supposed holiday. I usually pass it over, as ducking for apples with family was fun as a child but I dislike the trick-or-treating, and as a goth it seemed a bit strange to celebrate when I give the appearance of spending the whole year in a spooky mindset. It's easier to save my enthusiasm for bonfire night. This year though, I was free to be myself - and it seems I'm a girl who'd take any excuse to don stripy tights and a witch's hat. ;D

I hadn't actually planned a costume, but £1.50 for a hat to match my tights.. had to be done.

I hope your Hallowe'en is fun and spooky too!

I never did much for Halloween after I was 10 years old.  This was the first year I've done anything big since then.  I was invited to my friend's epic Halloween party, so naturally I went in girl mode (as a gothic vampiress).  There were 25-30 people present at the height of festivities and 2-3 laptops streaming video on the internet, which had an additional 15 people watching.  I don't think I was taken as anything other than a girl and one guy even asked the co-host if I was single.

I posted a picture in the members area here

PS.  You look cute :)

Yes. Halloween is a nice day of opportunity for transgender people. Here we do not celebrate it, but I already saw some people with funny clothes while I was in Portland, US, last week. While I happened to join a marathon event there, I saw some run while wearing a custume mimicking a cat with a long tail.

In retrospect, my first Halloween as a crossdress was not so much sucessful, as I did not know well about proper fashion, just wearing skirt and heels with apparently a guy face. The little daughter of my friend asked why I wore skirt. Her mom was also embrassed by my wearing skirt, replying to her daughter, "It is Haloween day! Didn't you know that?" If I can do again, I am sure I can make myself look better.

Gemma, in your case, you may try facial foundation and powder.

Barbie~~
Just do it.

Oh yeah, tell me about it Barbie - makeup's been fairly low-down on my list, but now I've done most other things I'm really beginning to notice my complexion. I'm hoping to drag some girl-friends along for moral support and let a department store do their work, some day when I can save enough for some good basics. That should help. :)

.. I had actually forgotten about the members-only option for photos! Hmm, that might be a better place for this topic - thanks for the reminder, Kieri. You look awesome there!

Please may I borrow a mod and their powah to help secure the thread somewhere safe? :)

It's a Lady-Bear! :D

I would have bought my dog a costume, but he would have happily eaten it.  :)
Our biograhies are our own and we need to accept our own diversity without being ashamed that we're somehow not trans enough.

Thanks!

He didn't stay in it long, my Aunt sent a bunch to us that she had picked up cheap and that was the only one that fit him. He's an Australian Shepherd, almost 8 months old.  ;D
