Drunken feeling?....

Was just wondering if anyone ever felt drunk (not tired) after taking hormones? Specifically progesterone.
The norm is to feel tired after taking it (I myself take Microgest), but I'm feeling downright intoxication every time after I take it, which is kind of interfering with my life.

Oh! And I'm new, and rushed to post this. Sorry if I broke any rules!

Hi Melsie and welcome.

Just one - no dosages allowed. But that's okay, I removed it.  :)
Enjoy your stay, hopefully some ladies on progesterone will be along shortly with answers.  :)

I don't use progesterone myself. I hope someone who does, can respond.

The symptoms you describe as drunkness. Are you referring to a sort of dizzyness, where you feel like your head is spinning slightly?

One of the charted side effects of progesterone is this and tiredness. To be honest, in the immediate term, have a lie down of perhaps relax in a comfy chair for a bit.

But you should mention this to your Dr next time.

I take progesterone. I feel a little bit more drowsy. But that could be circumstantial. I don't get that drunk feeling you described.

I have never had any kind of side effect from any HRT medication.

You could try taking your progesterone before bed.

Just a thought.

After 3 months on HRT (or there abouts) I felt a little spacey but that didn't last long. Not sure if it was HRT related but that was about the time that my normal aggressive/angry attitude started subsiding. Never felt drunk from it, though.
