Ok so I hope this topic isn't seen as too personal or anything, I just kinda want some ideas on how you guys, who've started hormones and even surgery (top at least), funded your transition.

I think I'd be ok to get T (which I hope to start in December), and I am covered by insurance for my doctor visits, but I make $10.20/hour work 5 days/week and average around 7hrs/day so thats like $1,428/month before taxes, and I live with my mom still but I give her $300 a month to help out, but I'm also trying to save up to move to Texas for school. So I guess my financial situation isn't horrible, but its apparently not good enough to take out even a $2000 loan from the services Garramone recommended for top surgery. I'm kinda stuck now because I really wanted and planned on trying to get top surgery by next april, but now I don't know if it'll be possible.

So any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

well I did check my credit score and its 645 which was fair, and on the loan application it said over 630 didn't require a cosigner. I do only have 2 cell phones and at&t internet service on my credit at the moment, so maybe a cosigner would help, but I don't know who would be willing to help :/

oh alright. well, you could try different banks. i was looking for a loan once, and i went to a ton of different banks, or called ones that were around and asked that sort of stuff. and i didnt know this before, but you can get a loan from a bank you're not a part of, thats great =P but yeah, you probably know more about this stuff than i do anyways, haha. so i dont know what to say =(
