The British Army, one of the finest military forces in the world, has allowed openly gay and lesbian soldiers to serve and even march in Gay Rights parades in uniform. Recently, Army General Sir Richard Dannatt made history when he became the first army chief to address a Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender conference.

I love reading about good things that happen! It seems like there are more reports on bad things than there are good things these days. I realize horror stories sell... to some. I would rather read about success stories personally.

I tend to think that they should not let gay people join the army.

Or straight people, or bisexual people for that matter! ;D

If nobody was allowed to serve (on any side) wars would be short, rather sad little affairs and the world would be a better place. ::)

True! Then people would need to solve their conflicts without violence. That would be too much for most people to handle though xD
