Hi Sxirls,

You'll find that there are a lot of people here that feel the way you do but there is also a lot who are going through different experiences. That's one of the great things about Susans you can compare your experiences with others and learn more about yourself.

I personally have been CDing for almost fourty years. I love the feel of a tailored skirt myself although I would like to be a little hippier. Whatever does it for you I think you'll find your time here at Susan's a very pleasant experience and also a learning one. Take a look at the Wiki and you will find a lot of useful information to help you on your journey.

So welcome Sxirls and my advice, joining in the sharing experiences with the lovely people here.

Hello sxirls,

I myself love to wear business suits.  I love tailored jackets and shirts, but I'll wear pants as well.  I like the look and feeling of power.  I've noticed that quite a few men are intimidated by a woman who power dresses.

hi:

I have been cd'ing now  as much as i can for the past 9 years, however I have had the desire for probably at least 30 years Before that. I was in a group as a teen that wore kilts. While I liked the group I was in, I think the ulterior motive was that i always wanted to be able to wear skirts, and at the time the kilt was the closest i could come to it. I always wore it as much and as long as I could without being obvious as to what I was doing.
I do love the feel of a tailored skirt and business suit. I find it makes me feel so femme, but also is very relaxing after a days work.
As I write this i am wearing a tailored skirt and it isl so comfortable and relaxing.
I agree that a nice tailored skirt in a business environment adds power to the well dressed lady

I love career-wear, skirt-suits especially.   This is strange because I hate all that corporate management stuff with a passion.   I guess it is the elegant femininity that appeals.   Career-wear says to me ' confident, woman successfully living in a man's world without compromising her femininity'.

I really love that herringbone skirt and jacket.

Perhaps I hold the new record for posting in ancient posts?  Five and 1/2 years that is surely a new record.   I have been wanting to post on ladies' office-wear for a while but I was too lazy to start a thread.   Did you like that skirt-suit Vexing?

Not so keen on the ruffles at the front of the skirt, or the colour, but the overall look is nice.
I go more for blacks, reds and whites in my business wear. I'll take a pic and post it next time I'm wearing my 'office-meetings-today' outfit.

You are right about the ruffles Vexing.  I think that they will quickly date the skirt, or start to look a little shop-worn after a while.

I do like them...although I have never sent anything to the dry cleaners. The next suits I get , I'm going to have to buckle down and do that.

I generally wear a lot of pencil skirts with nice tops at work though, similar kind of thing.

Even back in the eighties when i was an uber-exec chick...

I'd buy Max mara off the peg business suits.... the cuts are just so darn good.

As oft they'd do a snazzy cut jacket with an option of trousers or skirt (and i'd buy both) to capitalise on the the value for look choice!

Weekend version with dresses & jumpers coats is still damn kool too...
