So I take it you've never been mistook for a '->-bleeped-<-'?
I've been called it many times, and I don't dislike the term - but if what you're saying is 'has anyone mistaken you for a trans-porn movie star,' then the answer is no. I have been mistaken (and they were absolutely 100% sure I was) for Michael Moore on two different occasions, if that helps. If nothing else, it sure explains why people don't mistake me for a porn star.
And the top porn categories, the top eight or so, comprise about 85% of the porn out there, and 'trans' ain't on the list. Young/Barley Legal, Lesbian, Lingerie (bra, panties, nylons, upskirt), MILF, Gay Male, Anal, Oral and Redhead top the list, not a trans deal among them. And that's not even counting 'amateur' which is the number one porn search of all.
It's a specialty deal, no doubt ranking above 'balloons' (yeah, I don't get it either), or 'yachts', probably in the same rankings (and these rankings are very hard to come by, they are a huge industry trade secret) as the more 'kinky' areas of bondage, spanking, S&M, but far under more acceptable fetish areas like 'uniforms' 'Indian,' 'Latina,' 'Ebony,' 'Bukkake,' or 'Blonde'.
Point is there is porn for everyone, because there is porn for just about anything. Sure, there is TG porn - three kinds of it as far as the industry is concerned. And one of those kinds, the Buck Angel kind gets plenty of praise on these boards to be sure. So the anti-porn activism tends to run shallow not deep around here.
Most people have some sort of fetish, I mean all a fetish is about is knowing what it is that turns you on. It's a form of sex toy really. And the most popular ones - Big Huge Breasts, Huge Dicks, hot chicks in lingerie/bathing suits holding power tools, Catholic Schoolgirls in Disgrace - are all fetishes too, they are just so widespread that people don't think of them in that way. But they are what they are .
And, most adults know that porn is fantasy, and fantasy is rarely reality. People watching trans porn or balloon porn are not the people chasing ->-bleeped-<-s or getting it on with inflated bags of latex - the people who want to chase ->-bleeped-<-s and not just masturbate to pictures of them are out in places where such people hang out. For the vast majority of people who use porn, the porn is a substitute for reality, not an anticipation of it. Porn has never been proven to be any kind of 'causation agent' despite the long-running efforts of the Xian Right to claim that it is.
People like to see other people naked. Well, some of them do at least. A considerable number in fact. 'Twas ever thus. The Greeks, Romans, The Hindu, the Chinese and other ancient cultures were just as much awash in 'dirty pictures' as we are. As long as everything is 'consenting' them I'm pretty much OK with it, even when I don't get it, or I see it as a turn-off rather than a turn on.
And, for the record, I'd shun any person who got their opinions and insights from Jerry Springer and porn - no matter what the subject matter. Avoiding such people will lead to a happier life.
Interesting note: Back in the fifties and sixties the criminal penalties for possession of porn and drugs (both personal as well as intent to distribute) were pretty much equivalent, but since then the penalties for porn have all but disappeared, but the penalties for drugs have gone off the charts in the other direction. Discuss.
