i've had 4 inch sailor for like 4 months or so and its not very pretty anymore. it still does its job but it's really falling apart.
I'm 17, have no job (but im looking), and have about $550 in the bank. I want the reelmajik basic packer but i hear it comes out to be about 100 bucks with shipping and everything. A new sailor packer is gonna cost like 30-35 bucks, but ill probably have to replace that in another 4 months.
do you guys think its worth it to get the reelmajik one?

the reelmagik should last longer and can be sanitized via boiling and will never get sticky. just some stuff to think about. if you do order a new sailor try tranzwear i got a limpy sailor and stp for about $40.

If I were making a purely financial decision, I'd go for the Sailor. You only have $550 in the bank. That's not that much.  What if something happens? Your brakes on your car, or you need some other thing that is essential to life. You could put aside a few dollars a month and save for the RM perhaps, but you need a job for this. Yes, the RM will last longer-- but you could buy a lot of new Sailors for the price.

This decision might change depending on the extend of your lower dysphoria-- if it were extreme and not helped by the Sailor. But still consider only having  $550 and the bank.

depends on what else there is draining your money.  If you dont spend much, ie still live with parents, then i would probably just go for the reelmagic, but then again i do get my heart set on something and buy it whether i really should or not...  If i was being more responsible then i would save up until i had atleast half the price of the reelmagic (but also i work so that would only take a week or two).  It all deprends on your own situation and how desperate you are for a new packer. Also note that delivery times are going to be long for the reelmagic at the moment due to it being their busiest time of the year soon

As others mentioned you should check how much you might need to spend in an "in case" scenario if everything is ok then I'd say check out the reel magik if you're sure it's what you want. It def feels real even if it isn't the more expensive ones. The others know more about longevity as this is my first packer. In the end go with what you feel comfortably spending.

and really quick @anibioman I didn't know it could be boiled. Mine has a few flaws on it I'm afraid it won't last so long if I tried it. It's not really african american coloured as it should be and there is a small hole (no leak or further tearing) just behind the glans on the left side. What exactly does boiling do to the material and would it be wise?

Back to the OP just go with your gut

silicone dildos and single density prosthetics or packers should be able to be boiled with no problems but if there are any big air bubbles it could F you over as they would expand and the increased pressure could rip your packer. the reason silicone can be boiled is because it is inorganic and doesnt burn and has a higher melting point then the boiling temp of water.

also about the need for 'just in case' emergency type money he is 17 so most of his essentials are covered by his parents i would assume.

The only things i really have to pay for is insurance and gas, but its eating up my money like crazy.
I might talk to my parents and see if they'll pay for some of the RM, but that's going to be a seriously awkward conversation.

I doubt any of the RM products (even basic packer) can be boiled. They are 2-6 layers and in the prosthetics have gel filled testicles. Something like Mr. Right can be boiled. It's just one layer, simple construction. I don't think there is a problem getting them clean. They are washable and there is a spray for the prosthetics.
