Surgery funding approved.

Letter to day to say funding for my surgery ahs been apporved by my local NHS group.
So I called the hospital and was told that in run up to Xmas they are very busy with cosmetic surgeries that are Xmas gifts so not much chance of getting me in for a 6 hour colonovaginoplasty and it will most likely be early January.
I'm not getting excited until I actually get wheeled into surgery and see the surgeons stood waiting with sharp scalpels.

That is exactly my thoughts, I will get nervous, excited, worried when I am rolled into the operating room.

Yes.  idiot shrink at gender clinic to blame for this extremely expensive operation.  he ignored the letters and RLE I'd done and delayed surgery too long.  but it will pay me big bucks eventually.

I asked why the quote showed three surgeons and reply was that third one is retired one with most experience of ops and will just be observing in case of any complications for what is basically a rare op.  that made me feel good.

main surgeon is Christopher Inglefield.   12 years experience.
Has highest qualifications and is well respected for innovations in plastic surgery.   

here's link for anyone wondering how UK surgeons operate my surgery will be longer and need an extra day in clinic in order to fully empty my bowels so a piece of colon can be removed.

Oh wow! Never heard his name mentioned before, it always seems to be the same names cropping up (Bellringer, Thomas, Terry!!) and although I had heard of the sigmund colon proceedure, I know that the afforementioned guys all favoured penile inversion.

It took so long to get the gender clinic to pass me for surgery and then despite my telling them that I wanted quickest surgery they said they only referred to Terry and didn't know any others. 
It was  a full 11 months later before I got to see Terry who told me I'd shrunk too much so not much chance of me waking up with a vagina. 
So I said thanks I'll try my luck with other surgeons.  Inglefield was only one who does the colon op so I have to go with him.

I have no direct experience but I have to say that Dr Terry is a surgeon that I ruled out pretty quickly. As I'm going through CHX Bellringer or (perferably) Thomas are far more likely.
