Some nights I can move from the 1 to 2 easily, others I just cant get to 2 with out a lot of trouble.
I am using a lot of lube, but it seems blocked and I can press, but not have it enter.
Any tips and tricks to this?

you can try entering at a steeper angle to get under the pubic bone before leveling out, and twisting the dilator back and forth with gentle pushing motion. When using the #1, leave it in for at least 15 minutes (20 even better), and play with moving it in and out, and a "windmill" motion, like rotating (not twisting) the outer end around using the inside end as a pivot point. You can use your fingers before the dilators also to stretch a little bit- I usually start with 2 fingers using a liquid lube such as Sylk to get warmed up. Also if you're having trouble with #2, I would recommend dilating at least 3 times a day. I had my surgery just before you and I recently tried going down to twice a day, but 3 still works better for me at this stage.

If its still uncomfortable....

You could always try poping a Nurofen (ibrobrufen) tab... 30 mins or so before you start.... and see if this helps?

I don't know if this applies, but on me there's a flap of skin across the bottom of the vagina.  I have to insert the dilator at quite a steep angle (as Choloe said) to get between that flap and the top of the opening.  It's really tight, but the angle also helps get it under the pubic bone.  Once I get it started it slides in fairly easily, but getting it started can take some moving around.  I kind of put it in an inch, withdraw a half inch, put it in another inch, etc., while wiggling it around the long axis until it feels right and then slide it in the rest of the way.

One of my GG girlfriends was interested in the dilators.  She asked how I'm doing.  When I said I was having trouble getting the big one started, she said  "of course" like she would have the same difficulty.

Thanks girls.
My doctor showed me that it could be inserted, but told me to "search the Internet" for almost every question.
I'll try 2 tylenol then off for my "wifely" duties  :)
