DISCUSSING ...Dalam Botol, extends discussions beyond the simplified 'gay theme' it has been tagged with.
The plot of the movie originally titled Anu Dalam Botol (Penis In A Bottle) revolves around Rubidin (Arja Lee) and Ghaus (Wan Raja) who are a gay couple.

Rubidin, or Ruby, as affectionately addressed by his lover, decides to go for the snip (or a sex change, if you must) thinking that that will appease Ghaus, whom he thinks, wants him to be a woman.

Things don't work out and Dina comes into Ruby's life, when the latter returns home to his village as a man, to bury his father who has passed on.
