I've always sort of disliked lipstick too.  It doesn't look very natural and it gets everywhere and you have to re-apply all the time.

I found that Loreal sells something called Infallible Lip Color which is sort of like lip gloss in how you apply it, but it's actually a stain that will stay all day and not come off on stuff.  It comes with a lip gloss to keep your lips nice and soft too.

You should check that out, it might be a good one for you.

Thanks, will do!

I still find certain aspects of makeup challenging, like eyeliner and mascara, but everything takes practice I suppose. Luckily some girlfriends have offered to teach me how to apply it properly so I'm going to take full advantage of that! :)

Eyeliner was difficult. But after a couple of tries, I nailed it. Nothing else seems very difficult.

I was surprised that I didn't look a complete clown, even early on. However, nails are the thing for me, I just cant do them!!!!

Dee.  I hope I don't upset Millie, but not only do I do my own nails, Also do my own Acrylics.  Sorry Millie. :D

Actual painting ones nails is easy.

1. Go to the bathroom.
2. Paint nails in very light coats once.
3. Watch TV and let dry.
4. Test to see if dry.  Wait till dry.
5. Repeat steps 1 thru 4 till color achieved.

Makeup has taken me a while to learn, I think I am getting a little better at it as time goes by. I wore a light coat of foundation daily for a couple years at work, and then when I would get home I'd sometimes play with color. I really like makeup a lot, but I can't say I'm very good at it. I haven't yet got up the courage to get a makeover at the mall or anything. I hope to do that soon though.

That was the only difficulty I almost complained about. It's not so obvious if I just use clear polish, but the second I touch anything with colors I dunno..Maybe I just get nervous about messing them up >_>

I've struggled with nail color for years now. I've gotten 'bubbles' in them, or had problem with them drying. On a whim the other day I got some Opi nail polish when it was on sale and it's made a HUGE difference. No more of the cheap $1 polish for me, it made a huge difference. I just put on a thin coat, and no bubbles and it looked great!

I don't know if anyone else has the same problem as I've had, but the quality of the polish improves the rate of success greatly I think.

Ha! Just bought some, can't believe that it was much cheaper to buy it from the U.S than to get in in the U.K  Now if I can just persuade Janet Lyn to come over and show me how to do my nails! hahaha!
