Wave of sadness: breasts

Lately I've been having bad boob envy in general, to the point of depression and crying.

In a week it will have been 1 year on HRT and I basically barely have an A-cup.

I mean I know I need to give them more time but I just feel so helpless like my body will never look right. My mother and sister both don't have a lot so I'm basically screwed hereditary-wise. And I just dont...want...breast implants. I don't want to lose nipple sensation and most of all I dont want to have them replaced every 10-20 years.

I started Progesterone 6 months ago hoping that would help and recently started injections hoping for the same. I just feel like it's so hopeless sometimes, esp because of my stupid rib cage.....because my rib cage sticking out so much, my A-cup doesn't even look like an A-cup.

I just don't want to wear triple padded bras for the rest of my life but nor do I want to look too flat.

I am in the same situation.  The only thing to do is not to think about it much and definitely not let it get you down.  Patience is key.

Aww, you just have to give it more time sweetie. It takes awhile, especially if it's in your genes to be on the smaller side. An A is pretty good for just one year. Little girls in puberty don't grow much faster than that either. It takes many years for them to develop fully. Just be good to them, and give them encouragement.

Many of our cis-sisters have the same problem.  After all that is why padded bras went created.  Give them time.

I have always had some kind of breasts, and I just did not see any development.  Then they exploded.  Now if I go braless you can notice it.  I am a large B after 30 months.  But they must be doing something right, after all you have a boyfriend.

Jerica, don't be sad. You are so pretty. I dream that I might look as feminine as you do someday. A lot of ladies also report a growth spurt after GCS. You are just three months away from that (so jealous!). Might be worth it to wait and see. And if you do choose implants one day, you could get them implanted via where your breasts meet your lower body instead of via the nipple. I think Dee recently did that.

I intend to go as far as I can and see what nature gives my body, then have surgeons fix the rest!

Hi Jerica, I can relate to your anguish. My Mom was very small and I am already larger than she was. I have a sister who is well endowed and one who is small like Mom. I'm not sure where I fall in the mix but I am an A and my breasts are sore and I assume still growing. I don't really expect to get much more but one can always hope! I've been watching your videos and think you look great-makes me wish I could be young again knowing what I know now. And I love your hair!

Hey, that makes sense! I'm assuming you haven't had an orchie, Jerica..so maybe you can expect heightened results after GCS. Hope's always somewhere, huh?

You are not the only one!!

I am sure they will grow... this is a slow process... (being 9 days in HRT, I can say so, and believe me that I would love to see those changes happen fast, but that is not how the body works).

You have to give your body time to grow, to adjust, and just be patient. In the meantime we are here to support each other, and feel free to vent your sad waves... it makes us realize that we are not alone, and that we are not the only ones having them!!!

Breasts take a looooong time to grow. Do you have a sister? I'm willing to bet her growth took place over the period of 3-5 years...

I've been on HRT about 9 months longer than you and mine are definitely still growing... just had to go out and buy bigger bras. I know that a friend whose been on hormones for around 7 years was still growing up until around the 5 year mark.

I've had my implants longer than 10 years and they were checked last year and all is fine still....

But then I had an uber-top Dr put em in....

The FDA estimates that breast implants should last at least ten years. Studies have shown that some breast implants last much longer than that!

Nipple sensation is not affected as they aren't in the breast tissue....

So its not as grim as you might imagine!

Mine finally seem to be growing a bit within the last month or so and I've been on HRT for a year and a half, so do hang in there!  I would have killed for an A cup 1 year in =P.

I do know exactly how you feel.

1 year is really not that long, you could have a growth spurt anytime within the next 5 years.

Progesterone will help, but from my own experience it tends to be more water retention, and doesn't last. It can also create depression or make it worse.

I was definitely bigger while on prog., didn't know it at the time but looking at pics back then, wow but I have noticed now that I have more tissue, and there more rounded and there now back to the same size while on Prg.

I have had very good results with injections (takes some getting use to self injecting, NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH SELF MEDICATING) but it is Estradiol not Prog. When I switched from patch to injections BOOM the boobies starting growing.

Antiandrogens also play a big part. My breast are larger now then 6-months ago and there the same cup size. The difference is my band measurement went from an 31" to a 30" (actual measurements, not band size) I lost more muscle mass in chest area. I don't know how, most of my ribs were already showing.

P.S I just came across your You Tube site, it was linked to an orchiectomy site. I don't view too many of the Trans videos on YT. but I did enjoy yours. I was freaked out when I seen your before. The reason being you looked alot like me at that age, problem is I'm older now .

The one thing that got me, was it seemed your cheeks filled out more, but that was pre HRT. I don't know if it was makeup or just the pics doing it. hmmmmmmm...

Yeah I'm still trying to get my dosage fixed with the injections. My doc hasnt answered me...he's on paternity leave or something =(
