Hello everyone!  I am new to this forum!

My full name is Katherine London, my friends call me Kitty.  I am 18 years old and live in the Orlando FL area.  I'm a transgender person who has been out for like two years.  I plan to go to school soon for journalism and Chinese language.  I like friendly open minded people, who are understanding of other's situations.  Different cultures interest me so I like meeting people from all over the world.

Ummm, haha I don't know much what else to say.  Oh my friend, SamanthaFLA suggested the forum to me.  I hope it is a good and supportive place and I can make many new fabulous friends!  : )

Hi Kitty

Yes dear, i'm an originally dutch Tgirl, and very bad in speaking chinese.
French is always a struggle, sometimes I'm very pleasantly suprised when they seems to know what I mean, It's a shame because i live just 2 hours driving from france but in the netherlands the most used foreign language is english.
The television shows most american and british series with subtitels in dutch.
So we can learn a bit of english.

I'm glad you found the forum

Oh that's cool.  I think it is cool that people in Europe can easily travel to another culture and speak another language and still be home before dinner.  Hehe.  Here in Florida and in most of America you got to take a plane, even to the islands.  But I cannot wait to travel.  My French is not good either.  I used to have a better vocabulary but I never use it because there are no French people here.

Hi Kitty

traveling to another culture in europe by car is n't that easy because it's very crowdy.
traveling to paris takes about 5 hours and 5 hours back, so you have a late dinner.hihihi
for example, florida is more than 4 times as big as the netherlands but we have about the same population and they all have a car.
gemany is about 2 times as big as florida and there are living 85million people.
So driving in europe is a matter of patience, the distances are not that big as US or Canada but the time you need to go from one place to another is the same.
So we are taking the plane too.
The cultures are depending on the wheather, in spain sunshine, so people are living outside, here in the netherlands there is snow right now and it is freezing a bit, you would be out of your mind to go outside.
I've traveling trough US and Canada for many times, I like it there, it's more quiter on the road, nice people, cheaper than europe, more choice of motels and beautifull nature.
so, north america is my favorite place to go for holiday.
But the netherlands are not bad to live in, we do have a culture simulair of US or Canada and nice cities like amsterdam, a good social and healthcare system.
For example, transition here is not a big thing these days, you don't have to safe maney for srs because the healthcare insurance pays by law.
How are these things in florida?
For what I know about the system of the US things are different by state, isn't it.
It's nice to write with a beautifull girl from sunshining florida, I've never been there but from what i've hearing from people who where there it's a fine state, warm wheather, swamps, alligators and the beautifull beaches.
a big warm hug from a cold place

Jillieann, It is very nice to meet you!  I am glad to have you as a new friend as well, and I look forward to your future posts as well!  : )  What about your friends in Lakeland?

Annette, Oh my goodness, that is alot of information!  I am glad to have you to talk to, this is alot to learn!  I did not know the streets were so crowded, but I suppose it makes sense since many other countries are very densely populated.  I am actually part Dutch, well I am part alot of European ethnicities.  Haha.  I like America, although I want to travel!  Well the laws do vary by state but many laws are federal laws so they are the same in all states and it would be cool to have socialized medicine but when the idea came up many people and political activists said it was socialist and communist and a bad thing, which I personally don't agree with, besides Canada and many other countries are socialists and they are our allies!  But anyway, Florida is beautiful, and we do have alligators.  Haha.  Swamps are not everywhere, at least not in Central Florida, haha but there are alot of them and there are many lakes!  I used to live on a lake and my doggy would bark at Alligators that got on sand bars and we got so scared for her!  Haha, but if you ever travel to Florida you would have to see Orlando, Downtown Orlando is beautiful and although some of the theme parks are far over rated I would highly recommend Epcot at Disney World.  Haha, that is one of Florida's stereotypes that Floridians spend all their time going to the beach, playing golf, and going to Disney.  I have only been to a Floridian beach like maybe four times at the most and I have only been to Disney probably about four times too!  Haha.  But anyway, I hope the snow in The Netherlands is beautiful!  My friend in Germany showed me a picture from out her window and there was snow everywhere and it was beautiful!  But I haven't seen snow in person before.
