Androgynous shoes

I added something new finally that I like to my androgynous appearance.  That is very androgynous shoes. Although I have 5 inch heals (not practical for wearing anywhere), some low heals, and such, they are not stuff that I wear comfortably to work. My GF found the answer on accident while we were shopping.

We had been looking at things she would like for Xmas. One thing on her list was some new slippers for around the house. We browsed the slipper aisle , then she walked down the shoe aisle. The last thing she saw was some black suede shoes with a zip up. They had rubber soles. She picked them up and said "how are those for some androgynous shoes". Ding, something clicked inside me when I saw them. I had to have them.

I have worn them 3 times to work, and love them.

Where and how much isnt really important. Got em at our local Walmart (which I normally try to stay away from at all costs, LoL. Hate the traffic and waiting in line forever).

The main point of this post is that its been really hard to find a shoe that fits my gender feeling. This is just the first one that fits my personality on a daily basis so it was pretty exciting.

Footwear has been something I had been experimenting with; heels, flats, men's.

I knew I wasnt happy with what I had tried before. This sorta came out of the blue, from an unexpected source, while looking for something else.

I got her slippers btw, as well as a watch and perfume she wanted.

How about Doc martins or combat boots, or even a pair of converse or vans?.... Guys and girls both wear those in the same style.... Or is that just a punk thing?

I'm not much of a shoe person, but I bought the best pair of b/w wingtip-style shoes before the holidays ($20 on sale!). They'd look great on either a boy or a girl, so I think they fit the "androgynous shoes" category. I loves them, precious.

Fluevogs unisex shoes.  Great shoes, though pricey.  But they are sooo good looking.
I could go on, I am a bit of a shoe nut, and this is an area of expertise.  Cute shoes anybody can wear.   

I used to say docs, but I don't like them anymore.

Merrel Mocs fit the bill for me, they are both comfortable functional and androgynous

the first thing I did when i started to transition was I dumped my old shoes and bought some nice new vans, allbeit very girly ones, before I properly went full time I got away with allot, girl fit jeans, a girl fit long sleave T, a womans leather trench. It got to the point where I was wearing all girls clothes and the only thing which flipped me to fulltime was wearing a bra and a tight top instead of a loose top to hide my boobs and I started paying allot more attention to facial hair removal and coverage.

I generally wear clogs, except when it snows, then I switch to merrills or boots. Sandals or bare feet in the summer time. I hate wearing mens dress shoes...

I like wearing men's styled shoe with at least a 1 inch heel. I'm on the look out for something with 3 - 4 inches as that makes me taller and, as heels do, they make my butt look nicer.

Ok from the above suggestions I found some images of some of the brand shoes mentioned just for those of you like me who are visually impared from the names listed. This is just so you can get a sort of idea about what styles are sort of being mentioned in addition to the pics that I put.

You could also look into Crocs though I don't know if they'd be okay for work since I don't know your work situation. Completely unisex. Except for the color. They come in every color. The pink's not so unisex.

I love androgynous shoes.  I have 4 pairs of Lands End All Weather Mocs, very much like Merrils.  The last two pairs I bought are smooth leather rather than suede.  They were sold only in "women's" sizes and were described as being "a teenie bit dressier" than the suede ones.  I love them and wear them to work on a regular basis. 
I also keep a pair of black flats in my bottom desk drawer.  I often wear them around the office.  They are "un-ornamented"  loafer style flats that I wear with thin black sox or with Leggs "trouser sox."   These came from the ladies isle at Payless.

Don't forget sandals.  I have a pair of tan leather sandals that I bought in the women's department that I often wear in male mode.  I like to wear sandals at home year round because it puts less wear on the carpets.

Women's loafers from Payless. I just ordered them. Not the prettiest things, but hopefully feminine enough to keep me happy, yet andro enough for the office.

My shoes are the only male items I'm still wearing... but not for long
