As the subject reads that is what I am. I like to call the first 20-22 years of my life as the best act I have ever performed. ( I think many people can relate to that thought.)

My friends call me Dani and now parts of my family do as well. I have come out to the majority of the people around me and my immediate family. The rest of the family are soon to come by snowball effect I am sure.

I am 24 years old now and have been in counseling for the past 2-3 years getting my life straight and fixing damage from my emmy winning performance. I am currently living 1/2 time in my natural zone and spend the other half in half-hearted fascade. (just gets to a point you don't want to hide anymore!!!)

I am currently looking for a gender therapist to continue on the path I have realized is my way to joy. I wanted to get my mind straight before proceeding with matching my body to my mind. So if anyone knows of a great counselor out here in BFE SW Texas. It would be so appreciated. !!!!

I am a computer technician by trade and a writer/student by night. I would say I am at time overly cautious and at other times overly ambitious. (The ADD is a killer) So anyway I am so glad to be able to post here and look forward to further partaking in this community. Out here in little ole Alpine Texas a girl can get a might big feel of isolation.

hello Dani.

welcome to Susan's!  it's nice to hear you are getting things together and you have support from family members. i am always happy to hear of those as young as yourself taking these very necessary steps. many in my generation waited decades before seeking help and support. i'm looking forward to you joining the conversations and helping us all help each other.

Hi dani.

Welcome, welcome, you are among friends to be sure.  Susan's is a great site, we offer support where we can, and there is lots of information here in the Wiki, and in the Library, be sure to check them out.  Feel free to participate, read the rules, and have fun making new friends and acquaintances.

As I live in Ontario, Canada, I can't really help you with locating a therapist in your area, but I and quite sure that there are members here who do , or at least point you in the right direction.  There is also the option of an online therapist, who some of our members have used, who were in the same predicament you find yourself.

Check out these links, they may be of help to you.

In the mean time browse around and wait for the replies.

Take care

Well, a big ol howdy to you Dani out there in BFE land.

Welcome to Susan's. You will make lots of nice friends here and everyone is just full of advice. There are lots of links for finding thereapists on Susan's home page and soemwhere buried in one the posts in these forums is the name of a therapist who will do telephone consultations and hook you up with other doctors in your area. So poke around and you'll find what your looking for.

Be sure to check out the Wiki and don't forget the site rules. So fix yourself a cup of tea or other relaxing beverage, sit down, take your shoes off and set a spell.

Good Journey,

Cassie
