hm...well, sad songs tend to be rather cathartic for me, so just to clarify, they don't make me sad.  But they very much are sad songs, if you think about it.  (I hadn't intended on them being imbedded, but well, I'm just not that tech savvy, so here they are.)

AFI - This Time Imperfect

AFI - The Leaving Song

Blaqk Audio - If Only

Placebo - Running Up That Hill (not all that sad when Kate Bush does it, but anyway...)

Placebo - Follow the Cops Back Home

Our Lady Peace - Not Enough

The Smiths - Asleep (my favorite song)
If curiosity really killed the cat, I'd already be dead.

"How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and the strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these." GWC

Jacquelyn

Plane- Jason Mraz
Goodbye My Lover- James Blunt
No one's Gonna Love You- Band of Horses
Boats & Birds- Gregory and the Hawk

I have so many that I listen to... It's pretty bad. These four make me teary everytime.
"Love is in fact so unnatural a phenomenon that it can scarcely repeat itself, the soul being unable to become virgin again and not having energy enough to cast itself out again into the ocean of another."

~James Joyce

Also, any of the happy/sad stuff by Rab Townsend.  I swear, stuff like this makes me cry:

Aetherius - The Day The Earth Went Cold
"The cake is a lie."
  •

Shana A

"D minor, which is the saddest of all keys" - Nigel Tufnel of Spinal Tap
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." Oscar Wilde

  •

Enya - Exile

Jewel - Foolish Games (performed live)
  •

Infection - Chihiro Onitsuka

You're going to laugh.

To me, the saddest song is This Nearly Was Mine, by Ezio Pinza, from South Pacific.

It came to me while moving UPS packages this morning, and my eyes instantly teared up.

For me Everything Dies by Type O Negative makes me really emotional. It's even worse now that Peter Steele died :( RIP

I still can't believe he's dead...

Anyway, songs that make me tear up.

This is probably due to the end of the video.

Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again in The Phantom of Opera

Music of the Night in The Phantom of the Opera This song just moves me.

That song's almost as old as you are!  Man...and I remember watching the video when it came out...
