^^ DIY is great, when you can get off your tukkus and make stuff, lol. I have been sewing for oh, 6 years now, mostly learned from the desire to make costumes. I've done a bit of clothing mod, mostly on an older pair of pants that didn't fit anymore (sadly they are nix now, in a dump somewhere in georgia.) I have plenty of things i need to change, most of it is small now though, since i haven't started dressing, and even when I do i'm far too picky with my styles to just mod what I have

ummmmm, for you all out there having trouble with fabrics, my suggestion is Kona cotton and twill for your basic solids, you can pick those up at most local fabric stores, or online at fabric.com. As for the stretchy stuff, like t-shirts, undergarments, you name it, go online all the way. Buying the stretch stuff in stores cuts down your selection, and you pay 2-3 times more than online.
