Hi Gina. I've been 'part time' for quite a while now, and I think maybe I'll just keep it that way. The only people I'm 'out' (gawd, I hate that word) to is my wife, who is my supportive soulmate, friend, and lover for the last 3 decades, and also one of my churches female pastors, who thinks it's just wonderful. At work, I still wear male clothes, but feel better knowing that I wear women's black walking shoes. I used to bind (ouch!), but not anymore. I'll wear a bra under my shirt, usually a Bali sport bra, thin shoulder straps, or just nothing at all if the shirt is big enough. I have a nice close network of friends there, mostly female, and still get along ok with the guys, 'tho we don't share many of the same interests. Members of my church see me at work now and then, and comment on my hair...usuall 'looks nice!' now that I'm growing it out. My wife does NOT want to leave our church, and says if anyone knows, and objects, then they can just keep to themselves.
A couple of things go into play to help here.....my 'up yours if ya don't like it attitude', and, not minding blending clothes of both genders. I identify as Lesbian, so it's ok with me.
I wish you all the best in the new year ahead, and iner peace.
Bev
